 Franc
is an experienced elected official, businessman and lobbyist.
Franc served as a state representative and state senator for
a total of 18 years. During that time he held numerous leadership
positions and became the youngest Republican Senate Minority
Leader in state history.
As a legislator, he developed a reputation for
his commitment to good public policy, creative strategies
and effectiveness. This and his admiration for entrepreneurs
and business people made him the ‘go-to’ legislator
for many businesses. He passed key pieces of legislation despite
being in the minority, and received numerous awards for his
legislative work.
In 2001, he and Richard McIntosh created Flotron
& McIntosh, LLC, a lobbying firm with clients primarily
in the areas of health care, education, technology and local
government.
As a businessman, Franc worked for a large regional
construction company, and as a manufacturer’s representative
selling HVAC equipment to the construction industry. He also
started a business that manufactured construction products.
Helping people in business has been his theme in politics
and as a lobbyist.
